スウェーデンはグスタフスベリ製陶所に在籍した作家、ウィルヘルム・コーゲの足が長く伸びて鉢が配された定番の作品です。同様の形のサイズは大小様々ありますが、こちらは掌ほどの小ぶりなもので、一番良く見かけるタイプのものです。黄土色の素地に赤茶の釉が全体に塗られて、器体には細かな線文様の掻き落としや絵付けが施されています。最後に泥状の澱青釉を鉢の部分にのみ、ずぶ掛けして焼成をすると、白濁した色は、透き通る透明な青い釉薬に変貌します。澱青釉は釉下の文様が透けて見えることから、何層にもレイヤーを感じさせる複雑な表情が特徴です。高足の部分には、一周にKAGE+G+MARS+1949+GUSTAVSBERGと記されており、同じサイン、同じ形のものを、この年に数作ったことが知られており、企業などのノベルティ用に制作をしたとも考えられます。大きさよりも手取りはずしりと重いもので、これは使用するものではなく、オブジェ作品であると、重さに線引きの意味合いを与えている様にも感じられます。状態はたいへんによろしいものです。
This is a classic piece with long legs and a bowl by Wilhelm Kåge, an artist who worked at the Gustavsberg pottery in Sweden. There are various sizes of the same shape, but this is the most commonly seen one, which is as small as a palm. The ochre base is covered with a reddish brown glaze, and the body of the vessel is decorated with fine line patterns scraped off and painted. Finally, a muddy blue glaze is applied to the bowl only, and when fired, the cloudy white color is transformed into a clear and transparent blue glaze. The underglaze patterns of the blue glaze can be seen through the glaze, giving it a complex look with many layers. The high foot is marked with KAGE+G+MARS+1949+GUSTAVSBERG all around, and it is known that several pieces with the same signature and shape were made in the same year, suggesting that they were made for corporate novelties. The weight is heavier than the size of the piece, suggesting that this is an object piece, not for use, and that the weight is meant to draw a line. The condition is very good.
